Astrologically speaking, we are who we are from the moment we are born. However, we are free to fulfill our potential or not. Likewise, planetary cycles are preordained. Astrology is not a belief system of any kind. Astrology is based on the movement of the planets and how they relate to people. The application of astrology is similar to psychology and economics. Astrology is like psychology in that it identifies personality traits and behavioral characteristics. It is like economics in that it makes predictions of future conditions in an ever-changing world where no set of circumstances is ever repeated in exactly the same way.
People do not have blind faith in astrology. An accurately interpreted Astrological Chart based on the date, precise time and place of a person’s birth describes his or her nature, talents and abilities, relationships, family history, career, money, aptitude and recurring problems. Current planetary cycles describe the likely trends in a person’s life, whether challenges or opportunities. Astrology either works or it doesn’t. No one has to believe blindly.
On the other hand, many references to astrology are found in both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. The wise men who followed the stars and announced the birth of Christ were astrologers. The four faces in Ezekiel’s vision were the lion, the man, the ox and the eagle, representing the signs of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus and Scorpio.
