Mission

ASPAS was created with the aim of giving credibility to the activity of Astrology in Portugal.

The Portuguese Astrology Association (ASPAS), conceived on December 22, 2011 and inaugurated on March 24, 2012, was created with the aim of giving credibility to the activity of Astrology in our country. It aims to provide a public service, bringing together Astrologers, Astrology students and interested parties in general in order to stimulate the exchange of information and the dissemination of Astrology in Portugal.

​​1 - We therefore invite all those who fit this profile to join this Association, thereby contributing to the pursuit of the following objectives:

1) Contribute to a greater definition of Astrology and its role in today's world, ensuring its own quality and ethics;
2) Contribute to a definition of the role of the astrologer as an advisor, teacher and researcher;
3) Promote Education in Astrology, through:
a) Dissemination and clarification among the general public;
b) Stimulate the creation of structured and certified courses in astrology schools that are recognised nationally and internationally;
c) Conduct a survey of existing astrological schools and groups, promoting exchange and respect between the various approaches to astrology;
d) Promote the recognition of Portuguese schools in the international astrological community, creating links and exchanges with the outside world; e) Carrying out activities specifically aimed at astrologers, such as plenary sessions, congresses, webinars, information sessions, courses and conferences;
4) Creating research centers focused on specific areas of astrology;
5) Organizing astrological databases on national and international topics;
6) Promoting exchanges with other branches of knowledge such as: Cosmology, Psychology, Philosophy, Astronomy, Physics and Mathematics;
7) Seeking official recognition of Astrology as a branch of knowledge integrated into the Human Sciences.
