After a brief summary of the history of astrology, we can divide it into Traditional and Contemporary. Thus, Contemporary Astrology is made up of fragments, lacking cohesion of rules and fundamental principles, since it does not integrate many of the fundamental concepts and principles of Traditional practice.
Further on, we highlight the systems and techniques, within this analysis, in the Traditional and Contemporary astrological approach. In order to better understand, we generalize the way to interpret an astrological chart, which allows us to associate the positions of its components, in a non-astronomical process, as well as the characteristics, facts and particular tendencies of the individual in the study of his/her life.
Using established principles, following the astrological alphabet and its analogies, it becomes possible to read fractions of these symbolic diagrams, when considering correlations with known or occurred events or situations, analyzing the arrangement of the planets and the Ascendant (Asc) by the different signs, considering the quadruplicities (Cardinal, Fixed and Mutable) and the triplicities (Fire, Air, Water and Earth).
Especially important in astrological reading are also the positions of the planets in the houses, the astrological houses that these planets rule, the house and sign where the ruler of the Asc is located, which planets are in the Asc and which houses rule the different particular meanings of the planets and their aspects.
Various forms are used based on these supports, which are used in different traditions.
We highlight the development in the observation of the sky of other types of calendars, to measure the variations in the climate throughout the year.
The primary function of these calendars will always be to predict cyclical events on which human survival depends. This empirical knowledge was the basis for various classifications of celestial bodies.
The first ideas of constellations arose from this need to monitor movement. Thus, we can highlight astrological traditions, which follow this type of analysis.
